HOW OUTPATIENT CARE IS VERY IMPORTANT AND UNIQUE.
DSW is a vibrant organization based in Kabale District, Uganda, East Africa working with Persons With Disabilities to enhance Inclusion.
Through our routine visits to families of Persons with Disabilities, we aim at taking our services closer to the most disadvantaged PWDs who are unable to find us at our office or any other public gatherings and workshops in town.
Most PWDs are ignorant and lack awareness because they are unable to leave their homes due to the nature of their Disabilities and the unfavorable environment around them.
Their Rights have equally been denied because they are ignorant about them and at times they are voiceless..
DSW has come up with Out patient care program that is finding these people in their homesteads to share more on their life style and see how best to bridge the gap which has been distancing them from the rest of the people in the communities where they live.
In our routine family visits, we are mostly limited by enough recourses in terms of financial support because most of these families live under poverty, their hygiene is very bad, nothing to eat, limited access to hospitals, schools, among others.
People who need our services are many compared to our financial capacity.
